While I still wish more games were native, I have to say that the Proton runtime is a good idea. Thinking of it as a similar thing to OpenJDK or .NET rather than an emulation layer makes the WINE a bit less dry. ;)
Runs perfectly (and with a kernel build running in the background...)
Unfortunately, Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel appears to crash out during startup, but I will definitely keep looking at that situation.
